Some things he's doing:
*Occasionally rolling tummy to back
*Trying to roll from back to tummy but gets stopped on his side
*Chewing on fingers and fist
*Grabbing toys and watching them or tasting them
*Laughing only when something is really funny
*Talking and trying out his vocal chords ALL the time
*Smiles at almost everyone but most easily at mom and dad
*Sleeps between 5 and 9 hrs at night - depending on his mood, but always goes back down for a few more hrs of sleep after eating
*Wearing exclusively 6 month clothes and even a couple 9 month outfits (we've already stored all 3 month clothing)
I think I've hit the main things that people always ask and want to know. We're going to start playing around with solids hopefully tonight if dad gets home from work soon enough. I'll definitely post on how that goes!
Also, I finally got a few giggles on video. But by the time I did he was getting tired and had worked himself up a bit. But oh well, enjoy :)
We also started "big boy baths" because I've noticed he LOVES floating around in the water and his infant tub was too small. He has really gotten into splashing around and having fun, but it's hard to video it because once he sees my phone he stops! Pretty soon it'll be time for bath toys!
In other news, we've found out that my sister is having a baby girl!! Finally my family can add a girl to the grandkid mix after 3 boys! We're all very excited to meet her in July!
Also, the next few weeks get busy for us again. Next week we're headed for New Meadows, ID to take in a little bit of fun in the snow before winter ends. Then the very next day after we return Auntie Marissa flies in for a week!! Then the very next day after she leaves Jaxson, Grammy Vance and I fly down to Phoenix for 5 days. After that I'm thinking I'll drive over to Spokane for a few days to see my (pregnant) sister and finally have Jaxson meet Uncle Malin! Busy busy!
Oh and on top of that we're selling our home in Meridian. We had it rented out for the past year and keep hearing that the market has come back up a bit in Boise. We grabbed a realtor friend of ours, had her list it just to see what would happen and, 2 days later, we're under contract! It's an all cash offer from an investor so we're just waiting for their inspection to be done and we should close the end of this month! It's sad to let the house go after all the fun work we put into it but renting it out wasn't the best financially so it was time. We're making more selling it than we would renting it for the next 10-15 yrs even with the rental market being as high as it is.We just hope nothing goes wrong and we'll be home-free in just a couple wks!
